What’s Holding You Back?

Do you sometimes wonder how your life turned out the way it has? Do you want something different? Are you living your dream life? What’s missing? Are you caught in habits or patterns that are no longer serving your highest good?

We sometimes have “emotional baggage” from our past that is affecting our life today. If we experience painful or traumatic events, we can have part of our energy split off – into a kind of bubble. This bubble holds the emotional charge of that moment in time an that age indefinitely until we release that charge. Sometimes it releases naturally on its own and it fades into a distant memory. Occasionally it bounces against our current self causing stress. This can cause our emotions to flare up from time to time create a response that is not proportionate to the current event.

We can pick up emotional patterns from those around us when we were growing up. Some of these patterns may hold us back in our adult life. The bottled up emotions of our caregivers read louder to infants and young children than the words we don’t yet understand. These patterns impress upon us feelings we have no point of reference to understand. These subconscious patterns can create varied issues in our mental and emotional adulthood.

Bioenergy Balancing is a process where we look at your stress – where you are in your life – what is holding you back? Is there something from your past that is no longer relevant that you are ready to release?

Time for emotional closet cleaning! You can feel energized and lighter releasing old stuck traumas and affirming the true positive beliefs that guide your path today.

It’s winter . . everybody gets sick. Right?

Well not necessarily! Do we have less hours of sunlight here in the Northern Hemisphere during winter? Yes! We also have much less exposure to the sun due to its extreme angle and cooler temperatures. This can contribute to less vitamin D in our system creating conditions ripe for depression, weakened immune systems, less physical activity, craving for comfort foods – maybe less fruits and vegetables and even cravings for sweets. All these life style shifts have an impact on our health and well being.

Good news! We can manage a lot of these shifts back towards a more balanced state! Not everyone gets sick so some immune systems can handle these conditions better than others. If you are one who seems to get what’s going around each year and some times more than once, maybe you should consider trying a few new things!

Cod liver oil is a great source of natural vitamin D. Taken during winter it can help bring your D levels back to balance. Focus on eating more fruits and veggies – more salads and smoothies, and vegetable soup is a wonderful way to get lots of vegetables and warm yourself up at the same time!

Adding a vitamin C supplement as well as zinc can boost the immune system and help withstand temperature shifts and exposure to winter weather.

Now if you are diligently taking vitamin D and still can’t seem to make it work, perhaps there are other issues at hand! Sometimes a lack of gallbladder functioning can prevent assimilation of fat soluble vitamins – A, D, E, and K. Emotions, toxins, allergies can all affect an organs ability to function fully and can be assessed and shifted with proper support. Another aspect can be a “D” allergy caused by humiliation over getting a D as a grade. After clearing the old emotions, the D can usually be assimilated and balanced again! Occasionally someone may have a gene blocking the assimilation of Vitamin D. Receptors called VDR’s account for how your DNA receives this important vitamin. In some cases a narrow band UVB lamp can allow the body to receive this important vitamin made in your skin and remarkably improve immune, digestion, hormone and brain functioning.

Discovering what you need to do to keep fit and healthy through all four seasons can be an exciting and fun adventure!

Do I Really Need Energy Balancing? Why?

Maybe . . . not sure . . . let’s see!

Is your life moving in a good direction? Does your health support the lifestyle you want? Are you fulfilled in your relationships? Are you free of habits or addictions that could be holding you back?

If you answered “YES” to all those questions, then probably you don’t need Energy Balancing. But if like most of us there is an area or more that just isn’t what you wish. This is a great spot to try something different!

Why Energy Balancing? Because you are a Soul – a spark of energy before a physical being. You are a beautiful unique spark of Love created by the Source of all out of love. ALL things on this plane – earth – have their beginnings in the higher planes of energy. Shift the energy – and the rest will follow!

I wonder how it would be if that area that isn’t quite how you want – started moving in a new direction?

These Cookies Are FANTASTIC? What’s in them?

OK so I am gluten-free, sugar-free and cow dairy-free, how do you make a great tasting cookie? I use real recipes from old-fashioned cooking and use all organic real ingredients I can eat! Simple!

This is my adaptation of the classic Grandma’s Oatmeal Cookies:

1 1/2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats

1 cup oat flour

1/4 cup coconut palm sugar

1 T corn starch (to help dough stick together) if sensitive, leave out

1 1/2 t baking soda

1/4 t real salt

4 ounces goat butter (can use oil of your choice)

1 heaping T coconut oil

1 large egg

1 T molasses

1 T vanilla

1 T water

1/4 cup chopped pecans

1 heaping T shredded coconut

1 cup raisins

Mix dry ingredients including nuts, coconut and raisins in small bowl and set aside. Heat oven to 350. Grease cookie sheet with coconut oil lightly. In large mixing bowl let butter soften. When soft, add vanilla, molasses and egg and whisk until light and fluffy. Add dry to wet and mix. Drop batter on cookie sheet and flatten and shape to round cookies about 5/8 to3/4″ tall. Bake 15 minutes. Test before removing from oven for firmness. These cookies are more crumbly than their standard cousins, but oh boy are these fantastic and healthy!! How soon can you make some??

Quinoa Breakfast – Yumm!

This is another one of my vegan favorite breakfasts!

1/3 cup white quinoa – well rinsed

1 cup pure water

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla

dash of salt

1 tablespoon shredded coconut

1 tablespoon raisins

1 tablespoon coconut oil

1/2 cup home made almond milk

Put water on to heat in 2 qt. sauce pan. Add cinnamon, vanilla and salt. Rinse quinoa while water is heating. Add quinoa to boiling water and simmer for 20 minutes. Add coconut, coconut oil and raisins 5 minutes before the water is absorbed. Serve with raw almond milk. Tastes like heaven!

Quinoa is an alkaline grain, packs 8 grams of protein in 1/3 cup and filled with potassium, magnesium, Iron and B6. What a healthy way to start your day. Kids love it too!

Great Raw Breakfast

During a recent raw cleanse I created this fantastic breakfast.

Coarsely shred one Gala apple

Finely shred 1/4 red beet and 1/2″ fresh ginger root

Add 5-6 fresh raspberries and mash all together until fully mixed.

The apple and beet are great for liver and the ginger helps the digestive process and the raspberries blend the flavors and mask the beet completely. It is a divine raw breakfast that is delicious as well as satisfying! Give it a try soon!
